vile sinner: My review of last nights Life of Agony show with Negative Sky/Annka/CORE DEVICE/VOD/LIFE OF AGONY. Took much longer to get there then I planned on due to the weather but I made it there just as the first band Negative Sky started. They are a pretty tight bunch that touch on a pantera meets hardcore groove. I liked them and they set a good tone for this show. Next was Annka. They surprised me because they were very, well, metal, you know, leather, devil horns...Metal. I felt like the singer didn't sing anything but spent the whole set trying to get the crowd to throw the horns. Either way they are good but this set didn't sell me on them. Then there was Core Device. Truth be told, they were the reason I came to this show and again they rocked. I was impressed with their tightness on stage, as if they were seasoned vets. I didn't know a couple of the songs they played, maybe from a new record??? Then VOD. They were loud, full of bass, tight-ish. They didn't make me want to buy their cd but I did enjoy the set. Then Life O. The band is awesome as always, Keith didn't seem right again like the last time I saw them. I wish he could sing the old songs as he did back then cause it's a bit weak now. Nevertheless I had a blast and would suggest to everyone to go see all these bands.
